Above, Glenn Beck gives the key note speech at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) and brings down the house! He railed against the enemies within, the Progressives, in both parties and some folks think he went too far.

One of those that thinks Glenn pushed too far was former Sec. of Education and Drug Tsar, Dr. Bill Bennett. I respect Dr. Bill and think he is one of the leaders when it comes to teaching and informing the American people about the conservative cause. But he went off this morning saying that Glenn just doesn't see the good that the Republicans that are in office are doing.

Glenn said that we shouldn't settle for someone telling us that, hey, I will stop the guy from sticking that screw-driver in your eye, and I'll just stick in a pin. WE DON'T WANT ANYTHING IN OUR EYE! He was making the point that just because the Republicans are standing up to the Obama agenda, which is as easy as saying "I hate the satan", it doesn't mean that they would be all that better at governing if they don't purge the "Progressive" influence out of their party.

It's true that John McCain has been one of the leaders in helping stop this take over by Obama and his radical cabal, but would things have been that different if McCain would have been elected? The darling of the media, until he ran against the messiah of the media, Obama, was one for believing in Global Warming, and therefore pursuing Cap-n-Trade. He was also Mr. Bi-Partisan, and would have more than likely negotiated on any health care bill brought up by the Dems. in the congress. The only thing that he had going for him was his fiscal discipline, and that may have slowed things down.

But the man was not someone I wanted to intrust the protection of the US Constitution, remember McCain/Finegold. What Glenn was talking about in his CPAC speech was how the Progressives, like Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, where trying to get around the Constitution because they saw it as an old document, not worthy of adhering to. And Teddy, the leader of the Bull-Moose party, the progressive party of the day, was John McCain's hero.

I respect John McCain and his long service to this country, a true hero who still bares the scares of his sacrifice to this nation. But I think that many Republicans don't even see what they are, progressive republicans that are hell bent in enlarging the government and making it an even bigger part of our lives.

True conservatives want to not just stop the growth, that's a given, but want to shrink government, and remove the burden of high taxes and over regulation off of the citizens and off of business. Only through less government will the shackles be shed so that we, the people, can do what we do best, produce, innovate and create wealth like no other country has done in the history of the world.

Bill wanted to point out that Glenn stated that he hasn't seen a "Coming to Jesus moment" in the Republican Party. Again, the GOP has been standing against the Obama agenda, but that's easy. But Glenn is a "pivot point" kind of guy, he not only wants to hear that Republicans are becoming more conservative, he wants to know why, why did they change, and when.

Throwing out red meat to their voter base is easy when you have so much radical cattle to harvest it from. But I want to see, as Glenn does, the look in a GOP candidates eyes of true repentance, and if we see that we will forgive. We may not forget, but we will forgive. We want to know the exact moment that they realized that they were walking down the dark side, and what made them jump into the light. That is what Glenn is looking for, not just words, but to know that they recognise they had a problem and what made them change. Hence is referring to his own addiction to alcohol.

Bill made his point that it is the GOP that is standing up to all that is wrong with the Obama agenda today and that there is a difference between the parties. But even Bill can look back and see that the GOP hasn't been the conservative party that we thought they needed to be. Under Reagan and both Bushs, we grew government. Less under Reagan, but under "W" we grew with astounding speed. One has to look at the past, not just the last year, to see how the future will be, and with that track record, you can see why we are very weary of any politician saying, "look, I've changed.....trust me!"

I hope the GOP candidates will look us in the eyes, and tell their real story of how they've changed, because without that, we will keep looking, and looking and looking, until we find the true conservatives we need.

Dr. Bill goes by the philosophy of "elect the most conservative candidate you can", stated by the conservative icon, William F. Buckley. And I agree, but lets make sure we find the very best we can, and not settle for the small, very tiny pin in the eye, again.

Obama Says "JUMP" and Alan Grayson says "HOW HIGH!"

From "Big Journalism" Why Obama Hates the Recent SCOTUS Decision, James Hundall has a great post on why the President is so upset with the Supreme Court's ruling. He quotes Pres. Obama:

"With its ruling today, the Supreme Court has given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics. It is a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans. This ruling gives the special interests and their lobbyists even more power in Washington–while undermining the influence of average Americans who make small contributions to support their preferred candidates. That’s why I am instructing my Administration to get to work immediately with Congress on this issue. We are going to talk with bipartisan Congressional leaders to develop a forceful response to this decision. The public interest requires nothing less."

And it looks like my Congressman, Rep. Alan Grayson (D) took his orders well. He's now come up with 8 new, free-speech-hating bills that he thinks will go over well at home. For the statests, maybe, but for the folks like me, people that look at the "Tea Party" movement as a good thing, and think our government is way out of control, it goes over like a cement truck off a cliff. Here's what I said back to Rep. Grayson, I get his news letter so you don't have to:

1) The Business Should Mind Its Own Business Act (H.R. 4431): Implements a 500% excise tax on corporate contributions to political committees, and on corporate expenditures on political advocacy campaigns.

HR4431: So you would have congress pass a law that abridges the right of free speech by taxing the hell out of it? Have you read the Constitution?

2) The Public Company Responsibility Act (H.R. 4435): Prevents companies making political contributions and expenditures from trading their stock on national exchanges.

HR4435: See above? Punishing a company for doing what the SCOTUS says is constitutional?

3) The End Political Kickbacks Act (H.R. 4434): Prevents for-profit corporations that receive money from the government from making political contributions, and limits the amount that employees of those companies can contribute.

HR4434: I see you leave out Unions, which are corporations that make millions for their leaders. And you want to limit free political speech of individuals, just because the work for a company that is doing something you don't like?

4) The Corporate Propaganda Sunshine Act (H.R. 4432): Requires publicly-traded companies to disclose in SEC filings money used for the purpose of influencing public opinion, rather than promoting their products and services.

HR4432: If all contributions to politicians, political parties or advocacy groups had to be disclosed then we wouldn't need this, but your party and many Rep. don't want this......Why? Let the people see who is paying for what and let them make up their own minds.

5) The Ending Corporate Collusion Act (H.R. 4433): Applies antitrust law to industry political action committees.

HR4433: As long as this applies to unions as well, I have no problem with it.

6) The End the Hijacking of Shareholder Funds Act (H.R. 4487): This bill requires the approval of a majority of a public company’s shareholders for any expenditure by that company to influence public opinion on matters not related to the company’s products or services.

HR4487: What the hell business is it of yours what a company does with the money and power they have been entrusted with by its shareholders. If the shareholders don't like what the company is doing they are free to sell their stock, just as the free market says they can. Or they may vote to change the BOD and the path the company takes. The company bylaws should dictate how the leadership makes up its mind on how to spend money.

7) The America is for Americans Act (H.R. 4510): Bans all political contributions from foreign companies, or domestic companies with any foreign owners.

8) The Pick Your Poison Act (H.R. 4511): Requires corporations to choose between using lobbyists to influence the political process, or spending money on campaign propaganda.

HR4511: Again, stay out of how companies spend their own money, they may pay for the vampires on K-street and pay into PACs if they so choose, or to candidates or to parties. They earned the money, they get to spend it.

Man, who comes up with the names to these things? The progressive libs like Alan truly think that we are that stupid, they think "well that sound good, let's support it" and we won't dive any deeper. Well, thanks to Al Gore for inventing the Internet, so we can now look up all sorts of things, see videos of what people said, so we can get the real truth, and make up our own minds. Thanks Al.

It is already illegal for foreign corporations or foreign persons to contribute to elections here in the U.S. Your "America is for Americans Act", what a stupid name, is already law. Judge Alido was correct when he mouthed the words, "not true" at the SOTU address.


“The Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) prohibits any foreign national from contributing, donating or spending funds in connection with any federal, state, or local election in the United States, either directly or indirectly. It is also unlawful to help foreign nationals violate that ban or to solicit, receive or accept contributions or donations from them. Persons who knowingly and willfully engage in these activities may be subject to fines and/or imprisonment.

Who is a Foreign National?

The following groups and individuals are considered "foreign nationals" and are, therefore, subject to the prohibition:

Foreign governments;
Foreign political parties;
Foreign corporations;
Foreign associations;
Foreign partnerships;
Individuals with foreign citizenship; and
Immigrants who do not have a "green card."

Happy 1 year Anniversary President Obama

To the good people of Massachusetts, hats off to you and a big thanks to all of you that voted for Scott Brown. A year after Obama's inauguration, he is loved so much that the bluest of states, MA, votes in a Republican to replace the "Lion of the Senate" Ted Kennedy.

Say what you want about now Senator Scott Brown's opponent, this was a referendum on Obama and his progressive train wreck he's been trying to ram down the country's throat. Republicans of course voted for him, but the vast majority of independents, the largest voting block in MA and many Democrats voted for him as well. Why??? Because they were fed up with the politics of the Obama administration, all the back room deals, special interests and broken promises.

So let's look at this win last night of the new Senator of MA, Scott Brown, remembering something a very good man once said.



But I'll paraphrase: Massachusetts, we hear you....the whole world hears you......and the people that are tearing this country down will hear ALL of us soon! Come November.

NEVER, EVER FORGET.......

Take time today to remember what happened on this day, where over 2600 were lost to a surprise attack. And remember that we must always be on guard for evil that will do it again. We are the light shining on the hill, for how long I don't know, but for now we must fight as our fathers, our grandfathers and the young men are women are doing today, to preserve that light so that it may shine for another 200 year and beyond.

Answers To Idiots!

This is a collection of replies to some, oh, how should I say this, Dimwits that I saw posting to articles on the web. I was feeling like I needed to do some Fearless Speaking today.


This was in answer to someone asking why the Rasmussen polling is usually lower than others:

"Because Rasmussen uses "likely voters" as opposed to most of the rest that use total random calls like ABCNews/Washington Post. If you're trying to say that Ras. is bias, you can't tell me ABC and CNN are not.

Likely voters are ones that pay attention, as opposed to any Joe Blow that can answer a phone."


Someone here was wondering how Sarah Palin felt about the bank bailout and also about the MSNBC reporter that took on a formidable opponent, one 13 year old smart girl:

"As I told Lemure, Sarah supported her running mate, and he tried to work for the bail-out. I never saw her fully endorse the bail out, except to say that something needed to be done. This little girl stuck to her guns and promoted the US Constitution, that is one proud daddy! I know I would be. Splat might be too strong, but this little girl held her own with a seasoned (P)MSNBC reporter, she did great. I think this lady needs to start looking in strollers next time to find a fight she can win."

I posted this to an article about the 2000+ page Senate Health Care bill:

"This has been proposed before, but I think it should get more traction now. EVERY Bill presented to the congress should start, "Under Article ## of the US Constitution, we see that the US Congress has the authority to pass a bill concerning (fill in the blank). That way, when someone asks Nancy where in the constitution the government has the authority to pass such a law, like mandates forcing us to buy health insurance, she will be able to come up with something more than " are you serious?"

This was in response to someone saying, "the GOP is killing this country":

"er...um....WHO"S IN CHARGE RIGHT NOW!!!!! The GOP is just trying to put the brakes on in this run-away down hill train. It's people that don't give a Shiite about the Constitution of this country that are tearing it down. "

And finally, someone saying that "I wander how many Republicans will read the Health Care Bill? They didn't even read the Patriot Act.:

"Give me an example of how the Patriot act infringed on your rights. Did you call someone in the Mideast that might have something to do with terrorism? Did you transfer money to Syria, or Afghanistan? Then maybe you were watched, but tell me, how did the patriot act do anything to you?
Now tell me where in the constitution you can find where is says I have to buy medical insurance to be a free member of this country, and if I don't I could go to jail. PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!"

It was fun tearing some of these folks a new one, but reading many of these posts, it just shows how truly uninformed some many people are on very important subjects. God helps us all!

Gun Bans Kill People

We know the story now, a man, a US Army Major, buys some guns, then uses them to go and kill his fellow soldiers in cold, calculated blood. He knows that he will be able to do this because soldiers on the base are not allowed to carry weapons. On an Army base?

If there is one place where weapons training is thorough and extensive, it would be at Ft. Hood, TX. I don't know the reasons behind the gun ban on base, but I don't see the need. In fact, just like the criminal element outside the gates of Ft. Hood know, if they are in an area of very intense gun control, then they are likely to be the only ones with guns and hence, they are safe to carry out their bad deeds.

Just days later, after Ft. Hood, here in Orlando, FL we found ourselves at the mercy of another crazed idiot as he brought down town Orlando to a halt . He walked into the 8th floor of the Gateway Center on the north end of down town and opened fire on workers there, a firm he was fired from 2 years prior. He ended up killing one young man and injuring 5 others.

This tragedy and Ft. Hood could have been stopped; not by banning guns but by promoting their use! Banning guns will never keep guns out of the hands of people meaning to do harm. Police rarely intervene in a crime but follow up to catch the bad guys after the fact, and God Bless them for it. But even though their mottos are usually to "serve and protect", they rarely get the chance to do the "protecting" part of that goal.

The madman at Ft. Hood was stopped by a heroine, a mom and a reservist, and now, a national treasure. Sgt Kimberly Munley heard that there was a shooter while in her vehicle, and raced to the scene. This was after he had shot and killed 12, and injured more than twice that. (one soldier died a day later to make the total 13) She saw the man, walking up on a wounded soldier crawling away from him, and as he pointed his gun at the man on the ground, Munley opened fire on him, and he shifted his attention towards her. She may have saved that man from execution. She then proceeded to open up on him, and he did the same, hitting her three times, one in each thigh and one in the hand. But she kept firing, both within 25 feet of each other, and struck him 4 times, dropping him. See her story here.

Putting guns in the hands of good, background checked, trained citizens gives you and me the best protection of all. Yes, I know that both of these evil doers got their guns through proper channels, but so do millions of people every year, and they don't shoot up military bases or office buildings. But if others, people of level heads and training, had guns in their reach on those days, the tolls would have been much lower.

If just one or two people in the Gateway Center would have been carrying that day, after the first few rounds, maybe this man would have been stopped, and I mean shot to death. And maybe, just maybe, if some of the non-coms, Sargent and the like would have been allowed to carry side arms, then maybe this terrorist would have thought twice, or at worst, been stopped right after he got off his first few rounds.

Just last night here in Orlando, a young lady, protecting her home, shot and killed a man trying to invade her home. The other two men with him ran off. Criminals are cowards and they will not risk breaking in a home if they feel the owners may have a gun. This is the example of why the 2nd amendment is really in our constitution, not only to protect us from a government gone crazy, don't get me started, but to also protect our lives and our family's lives. The young lady had 3 kids in the home, and she had a gun....what would you have done?

FORD CROSSES THE FINISH LINE A BILLION $$ AHEAD!

Congratulations to Ford Motors, Inc., posting a Billion profit for the 3rd Qtr.! With cost cutting, wise choices in regards to corporate financing and labor contracts, Ford shows the country and especially the Obama administration what the free market can still do.

Yes they may have, no, they most likely did benefit from the "Cash for Clunkers" program, but they were in the same market as GM and Chrysler. I believe that there is another reason that they had a profitable 3rd Qtr..

Ford, to its credit, stayed away from government bailout money, and I think their vision is the key to customers flowing into their doors. The public knows who took money and who was in bed with the Obama administration. They know it was wrong to do so, that the free market should have let those businesses fail and the assets of those businesses should have been sold off.

Ford created another demand factor for their product, the fact they stood up to the pressures of the economy and the administration and the public responded. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people tell me, "the next time I buy a car, I'm looking at a Ford first". I think this had a major factor in their performance that allowed them to post such great numbers.

Congratulations again Ford, well done!

44,000......Really?

Michelle Malkin, in her article The Bogus Death Statistic That Won't Die , picks apart the study that Rep. Alan Grayson (D) uses to talk about the 44,000 people in this country that purportedly die due to the fact that they have no medical insurance.

She points out; "Two of the co-authors, Drs. David Himmelstein and Steffie Woolhandler, are avowed government-run health care activists. Himmelstein co-founded Physicians for a National Health Program, which bills itself as "the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program." Woolhandler is a co-founder and served as secretary of the group."

And these men went to the press, giving them a state by state accounting of the numbers of people dying in each state; "Next, the political doctors cooked up scary-specific death tolls for all 50 states (California -- 5,302, Texas -- 4,675). Newspapers dutifully cited the fear-mongering factoids. The single-payer lobbying group co-founded by Himmelstein and Woolhandler took it from there. Last month, the group set up its own memorial on the National Mall for the phantom 44,000 casualties of uninsurance."

This is just another arrow to toss in your quiver when someone tells you that lack of medical insurance is killing people. Know that there is no proof, and that if someone says that you're killing people because you don't want them to have insurance, tell them to talk to the family and friends of the people that died in Canada and England waiting for they MRI or waiting to see a specialist. Those are numbers you can truly quantify.

In this study, Waiting Your Turn, Hospital Waiting Lists in Canada, 2008 Report , it shows that wait times for referrals from your GP to a specialist can take as much as 19+ weeks, and from referral to treatment by a specialist it can take as much as 36 weeks, (orthopaedic surgery). They only place in the study that showed improvement from when they started keeping track was cardiovascular surgery, which was still an average of 7.3 weeks. Radiation Oncology can take almost 6 weeks until you get treatment.

How many people can go from operable to inoperable stage cancer in 6 weeks? How many people can suffer a fatal heart attack in the 7.3 weeks between GP and treatment? These are the faces, the stories that need to be told.

Bring out your dead!

That famous line from Monty-Python sounds like Rep. (D) Alan Grayson's call today to go register names of people who you think died because they didn't have medical insurance. ( http://namesofthedead.com/ ) . I can just see him now, walking along a cart, yelling out " Bring out your dead" as he clangs a bell.

He claims that over 44,000 people die due to their lack of medical insurance. These numbers are from a study called; Health Insurance and Mortality in US Adults . This study claims that there is a greater chance of dying if you don't have insurance. The chances are 40% more according to Grayson, but what does that really mean, does it mean that those 44,000 people wouldn't have died if they had medical insurance?

I reviewed the study and found that there was one thing missing, the study does nothing to show why the people didn't have insurance. It didn't say that they couldn't buy it or that they were just choosing not to buy it. Over 15 million of the uninsured are able to buy it, but they choose not to.

The study, which used 9,004 people for this portion, showed that 351 of them died over the study period, or 3.1%. No where does it say why or how they died. The age group was 17 - 64 years old. There is a myriad of reasons for folks to die, many not related to health care. But we don't know how they died, so by deduction this study concludes that it's because they, the 78 that died who didn't have medical insurance, died only for that reason.

The top 3 reasons for deaths of people ages 15 to 24 have nothing to do with anything medical, they are; (1) accidents 51.8%, (2) homicides, 21.3% and (3) suicides 16.3%. The study also shows that just being male, gives men the same risk as not having insurance. But is that risk, really?

200 of the folks that had insurance in the study died, or 3.0% over the 14 years of the study. That was 200 of the 6,655 insured. 78 of the folks died that didn't have insurance or 3.3% over the 14 years. There were 2,350 of these folks. That means that 7 more people may have died because, according to the study, they didn't have medical insurance. (0.3% X 2,350=7.05) But we still don't know why they didn't have insurance. Many young people choose not to buy insurance because they are healthy, yet they die from other reasons than health care many more times than older Americans; could they be a larger sample of the uninsured in this study? It doesn't say.

If only a few of these were because of accident or the other top 3 for young people, then that can change the results dramatically. The study accounts for smoking, drinking, body mass and other factors, but if a person chooses not to have insurance, a risk, what other risks do they take. Do they not go see the doctor because they choose not to, many guys think they're tough, they'll get over what ever it is. Just adjust the number of folks that died in the uninsured group by as little as 10% or 7 folks and you even out the playing field.

I go through all this to make this statement. Don't pay attention to Alan Grayson and his grandstanding, he is the distraction, he is the flash powder that draws your attention away from the big picture, the tricks and down-right misdeeds of the leadership of the House and Senate and the White House. These are the folks we need an apology from, they are the ones pushing through a bill, over 1,500 pages, that will be the begin of, and I quote, "Fundamentally Transforming the United States of America".

And make no doubts about it, this is their goal, no matter what:



He has a plan, and it's working perrrrrrfectly!

.....and the Winner is......errrr...WHAT!!!!

"... is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity, in the suppression or reduction of standing armies, or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses..." This is what Alfred Nobel said was the criteria for someone to be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize. So let's look at how Pres. Obama fits the bill.

" is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international fraternity" The greatest service....hmmmm....trying to think of what great service Pres. Obama has given.......still trying......Oh yes, how could I forget, his great speech at the UN, the one that got all those great applause by the great leaders of countries like, Venezuela, Cuba, Libya, Lebanon, China, Nicaragua, and so on, oh too many to list. I guess that is what the Nobel prize committee considers the "international fraternity" The applause lines happened when Obama would either chastise the US for arrogance, or for not understanding the peaceful religion and culture of Islam. Okay, lets look at the next one on the list, shall we...

"in the suppression or reduction of standing armies" Well, it looks like that one might be deserved, at least as far as the US military is concerned. Nothing says I don't really want all of you good, hard fighting, God fearing, Flag loving folks in the military to stay in too much longer, by saying, I'm going to do my best to resend "Don't ask, Don't tell". And to help all of you make your minds up even faster, I'm going to try and ask some of the more friendly folks in the Taliban to help put Afghanistan back together; they did say they weren't a threat to the west, and why shouldn't we believe them. Oh, and lastly, I'll give ACORN 1 million dollars to fight fires, but I'm going to reduce the US military budget and cut arms programs and missile defence programs for our allies, and finally I'll berate and chastise this great country so I can be more popular with the rest of the world. Oh, one more thing, I'm going to ask that the congress and the nation to pass stimulus bills, health care reform bills, Cap and Trade bills as fast as possible, not even bothering to read the final bills, that's not important; but I'm going to take what your generals tell me they need and mull it over for say 2, 3 maybe 4 or 5 weeks, so I can study it and really know how we should proceed. Now, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

And lastly we have, "or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses" I guess that would have to be his sitting down on the UN "Human Rights Council". That's got to be a "peace congress" if I ever saw one, I mean look who sits on it and has lead it in the past. Iran, Cuba, Libya, China, and many more human rights "mavens". What a wast of time that was, when you look at what he has done to promote peace. He wants the world to be rid of nuclear weapons, well what did do about Iran's aspirations so far, except show them our underbelly like a submissive dog trying to be your friend. He was asked what he thought about "American Exceptionalism" and he answered that he felt about it like folks in England must feel about British exceptionalism, or how Japan must feel about Japanese exceptionalism. So his idea of peace is to have no exceptional countries, because when all countries are exceptional, none are. So now we have the envy of the world tossed aside as an excuse to hate us, and that can only lead to more peace.

So if you sat on the selection committee of the Nobel Peace prize you couldn't come to any other conclusion, Pres. Obama deserved this honor, because if they didn't choose him, wouldn't that just show their hate and racism toward our president.

The man has done squat, nothing, zip-zero-nada.....but hey, he got elected President of the United States of America on that same record, so I may be wrong.

Pres. Obama Sides with Killers of Women and US Military

White House officials said this week that Pres. Obama is looking at a strategy in Afghanistan that would allow the Taliban to gain some control of areas of the country, since they said that they are not a threat to anyone in the west. Well, I feel better already, they're not a threat to us here in the west, so there you go, no problem.

But the fact is they are a threat to us and all nations that have an ounce of decent humanity left. These are, first of all, the folks that allowed Al Queada to train and plot the 9/11 massacre that left a pile of ruble where the WTC stood. And it killed almost 3000 innocent people, people from all over the world. This was not just a strike at the US, but a strike at civilization itself. I'm sorry, but I still believe in what former Pres. G. W. Bush said when he stated, "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists". It's that simple in my eyes, either the Taliban supports Al Queada and the killing of western civilization, or you're with us, and the promotion of the rule of law, law derived and approved by the people.

The Taliban has killed US troops and allied troops as well. They kill and maim their own people, in the most public and brutal ways. I won't post anymore examples, but if you want to see their form of justice, all you need to do is "YouTube" the Taliban and you will find hours of horror, the killing, beating and maiming of people accused of anything from having an unapproved relationship, to attending school. Video of kids walking to school, only to be blown up, shredded to bits, by a Taliban car bomb. Now they are in Pakistan and are laying down the law in the high mountains, forgoing anything that looks like constitutional, governmental law, having Sharia law tribunals and handing down punishments that are barbaric.

But Obama sees a role for the Taliban in Afghanistan. Really! What? I guess he thinks that they could gain some control of the country, and all the folks that helped us, the GREAT SATAN, will just be forgiven, and let off with a little warning. Really! The police, town officials and just regular citizens that wanted their little girls to go to school, they will be dragged out of their homes and beaten or worse, shot dead in a public display of Sharia justice. And who on God's green earth will trust us then, who will say, "lets count on the US, they'll protect us"? Who?

I thought that when people are being trampled on, when they try to rise up and take back the God given rights that others have taken from them, that we stood by their side and fought with them or even for them. But now, with this twit in office, it looks like we'll just stand by, and watch as they, the Taliban, dole out their justice and take back, little by little, the gains we've made by the blood, sweat and tears of our service men and women. If you think the troops are demoralized now, just wait until they are told they can't shoot at the Taliban.

Update 10/10/09: Pres. Obama vows to end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to thunderous applause. Does it make you pause that in this year of record deficit spending, the one area of government that saw less funding was Defence. Tack this on top of siding with our enemies, and I see a mass reduction in the retention of our best and brightest in the military.

HUMILITY BASE HERE...THE EGO HAS LANDED

Not exactly what they were expecting, but why not. Isn't this the man that has been traveling the world over the last 9 months, and before, trashing this country. Why the hell would the IOC want to come here of all places for the summer games of 2016.

This also shows how big Pres. Obama's ego really is. He thought that he could go over to Copenhagen and flash that big smile, show off Michelle's toned arms and have "O" Oprah....well do what ever she could do, and the the IOC would fold at their feet. And what happened, they we're the first ones show the door. Air Force 1 was just taking off when the announcement was made, the president getting a heads-up I'm sure.

Doesn't it make you feel all warm and safe inside knowing that this is the man that will be negotiating with Iran and Russia and China over Iranian nukes....I feel warm all right, but I think it's my blood pressure on the rise. He broke the first rule of presidential negotiations, you don't go unless you have a deal already. Coming home with your tail between your legs doesn't convey strength, and getting spanked by Spain and Brazil, two "power-houses" of international muscle, that looks even worse.

And not only did the IOC say no, they said "Hell No" by eliminating Chicago in the first round, saying that they had the least amount of votes. Tokyo's representatives at least put a good spin on it, after they were illuminated, by asking that they keep the games "Green". This after Michelle flew over to Europe on the presidential 727, and Barack follows a day or two later on the 747 AF 1. And add in the other Secret Service aircraft, transports for cars and other gas guzzler vehicles and that adds up to a nice size carbon footprint there wouldn't you say.

At least we know that he will spend time on things he thinks are important. He gave the general overseeing Afghanistan a whole 25 minutes to go over strategy and troop levels. I mean, like Michelle said, going over there was a "sacrifice" to say the least.

Liars and Triggers and Politicians, Oh My!

Joe Biden says that SC Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst, "You Lie" was an embarrassment. Coming from Joe, someone that has a vast knowledge and understanding of how to embarrass one's self, that really carries some weight. But in last night's Presidential address to a joint session of Congress, Joe Wilson's remark, albeit poor decorum, was the only thing we can be certain was truthful.

Even the Associated Press, not a bastion of right wing pundits, came out and said that President Obama wasn't fully upfront, ( translation: was Lying) about the facts he laid out in his speech last night.

OBAMA: "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period."
THE FACTS: Though there's no final plan yet, the White House and congressional Democrats already have shown they're ready to skirt the no-new-deficits pledge.

OBAMA: "Don't pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut. ... That will never happen on my watch. I will protect Medicare."
THE FACTS: Obama and congressional Democrats want to pay for their health care plans in part by reducing Medicare payments to providers by more than $500 billion over 10 years. The cuts would largely hit hospitals and Medicare Advantage, the part of the Medicare program operated through private insurance companies.

OBAMA: Requiring insurance companies to cover preventive care like mammograms and colonoscopies "makes sense, it saves money, and it saves lives."
THE FACTS: Studies have shown that much preventive care — particularly tests like the ones Obama mentions — actually costs money instead of saving it. That's because detecting acute diseases like breast cancer in their early stages involves testing many people who would never end up developing the disease. The costs of a large number of tests, even if they're relatively cheap, will outweigh the costs of caring for the minority of people who would have ended up getting sick without the testing.

OBAMA: "Nothing in this plan will require you or your employer to change the coverage or the doctor you have."
THE FACTS: That's correct, as far as it goes. But neither can the plan guarantee that people can keep their current coverage. Employers sponsor coverage for most families, and they'd be free to change their health plans in ways that workers may not like, or drop insurance altogether. The Congressional Budget Office analyzed the health care bill written by House Democrats and said that by 2016 some 3 million people who now have employer-based care would lose it because their employers would decide to stop offering it.
In the past Obama repeatedly said, "If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period." Now he's stopping short of that unconditional guarantee by saying nothing in the plan "requires" any change.

And through out his whole speech he kept on referring to his plan, "In the plan that I'm proposing" and phrases as such, but I have one question....What Plan! If you asked him, "what page can we find where it says this or says that". He has no plan of his own. There are the 2 plans being considered by the house, and another or two being considered by the Senate, so what plan is he referring to? No wonder the biggest laugh from the attending congressman and senators was when he said, "Now we still have a few details to work out...." Ya Think!

The one man telling the truth last night, Joe Wilson, will now become the whipping post for the left, and they will ignore the mis-truths and down right lies said last night. For that I'm not happy....oh but deep down inside I'm saying "thanks Joe, you're right, he has no clothes!"

President Obama Speeks to Our Children

Today, noon EST, the president will make a speech to our nations students, K- 12. Much as been said about this speech, how it may be propaganda, or brain washing, but I just read the speech, and with only one exception I thought it was very good. But what else could expect from the "Teleprompter and Cheif".

By using his own story and the story of others that have not let their circumstance make them a victim, he stated clearly that kids need to press forward and not let anything get in the way of their education. He said that it's not just themselves they would be cheating if they knuckled under to pier pressure and did things that caused them to not give their best effort, if they just stopped trying because they failed at first. Obama said that if they give up on their education that it would hurt the country as well. I have to fully agree with the President on this one. Learning from failure, as he points out, is the way many great figures in our history learned their trade.

The only point I took exception was near the end, where the President takes credit for giving the kids their classrooms and text books and computers and such; "I’m working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books, equipment and computers you need to learn." Excuse me Mr. President, but my taxes and my donations and time and effort provide much of those things you mentioned. I thought this was a little of what everyone was worried about, I mean can't you see kids out there telling their parents, "President Obama gives us our books and computers at school mommy, he's awesome!" That just makes me feel a little queasy.

But I have to give the people of this country that spoke up about it credit in changing the tone of the speech. He had the Education Dept. send out outlines and study guides to help teachers with discussions after the speech. They had questions like " Write a letter to yourself stating how you can help the President" and such. This was changed and those items deleted from the study guide because of the stink many Americans made. I think now we will here from the media and critics of the folks that took their kids out of school and such that "they were wrong about the speech so they must be wrong about everything else." Well, we don't know what the speech was going to be like before the stink was made so that dog won't hunt.

I say, well done Mr. President, telling our kids to stay in school, don't let your circumstances stop you from getting your education and do it for your country. Just back down a little on the ego, all right!

Do They Have a Mirror?

Can they see themselves? They, the Obama administration and the Congressional Democrats, are being accused of taking this country down the road to a communal state, socialism or fascism. And yet, they are doing things that can only be interpreted as doing just that and promoting this type of government system around the world.

The first example is the hideous way this administration has reacted to the small, but democratic republic of Honduras and their ousting of their corrupt, drug running president with eyes on a Chaves style dictatorship. As I have stated in my previous post, "We are All Hondurans Now" , the Honduran government has followed their constitution and the removal of Pres. Manuel Zelaya. And it was approved by their supreme court and the attorney general of Honduras. The Vise. President, Zelaya's VP from the same party, is now acting president and has vowed to step down after he served out the rest of Zelaya's term. He will run I'm sure, but this was not a "military Coup".

But what is the reaction of the Obama administration? They cut off most diplomatic ties, and turned away, or kicked out diplomats from the US. Foreign aid has been cut off, and they have told the world that Honduras must reinstate Zelaya. So they agree with Chaves, Castro, Noriega, and the UN. Way to support Democracy Barry, I guess birds of a feather screech to together.

Another point is the defence and admiration of Obama's Green Czar....er.....presidential Advisor, Van Jones. This man has done nothing but expound the ugly, statist views that are what we feared from the "One". He slams all that is good about our great country. All he sees is the worst, and has shown himself as a racist and a self avowed communist. But yet, the WH just brushes off his connections with radicals of all kinds. Thank you Glenn Beck for exposing this dirt bag for the hater he is. I've never seen a person express these views with such arrogance and hostility toward his fellow citizens.

He is a "Truther" who believes, or did believe, that President Bush 43, was an active participant in bring 9/11 to come about. And they call "Birthers" nut jobs, this man thinks that our government, yes I don't trust them but come on, orchestrated the 9/11 hijacking and the bringing down of the WTC and bombing the Pentagon. There is no comparison when it comes to the nuttiness of this to the birthers, this goes beyond just lack of trust, it is an out and out vial hatred of our government, and our way of life. I can't comprehend the mind that can think that we, the government, would kill 3,000 of our own. And this administration knew of his past, and brought him on anyway, and then they ask why we don't trust this president's judgement!

And now, to top off a great summer season of praising our enemies and jumping on our friends, the WH and State Dept. are going to "celebrate" the 60th anniversary of the People's Republic of China. Ah, the Chi-coms, what a country. They will celebrate a country were over 70,000,000 of it's citizens were murdered by their "great leader". They killed far more people than Hitler or Stalin, yet we go about trading with them and selling them our debt. And when you owe someone money, they have a lot of control over you. NOT a good thing, when you see how they treat their own citizens; just think how they'd treat debtors or a foe. And now we have Dems coming out and praising them.

Do the people that surround Obama see what we're all seeing out here, outside the beltway? We see this WH slamming old friends like Honduras, (and Israel), and siding with socialist dictators. We see them defend a man that spews hate and thinks Bush caused 9/11 so he could go fight an unjust war, for oil (have you seen oil prices since we started killing terrorists?). And now, the Great People's Republic of China is praised for their 60th B-day, and the WH will raise their flag on WH grounds. That should look good back home in Beijing on the People's news.

All they need to do now is knuckle under to Russia and not go forward with the missile defence shield in eastern Europe and ......what......that's not going to happen either...... wow, didn't see that coming.

UPDATE: Van Jones, the Green Czar has resigned, Can I get an Amen! Way to go GP and Glenn Beck. I hope this makes a trend.
